Search and Plant? Easiest Way to Make the Earth Greener!

Hi! (This is gonna be my first post in English, so i'm sorry for the grammatical errors and others in advanced)

I want to tell you about this cool stuff i stumble across a couple weeks ago. So i was bored and randomly watch some stuff on YouTube and there was this video collaborating with a website that makes the earth greener while you're searching on the web. I'm kinda interested with that idea so i went and search about it.

Ecosia 

So what is this web? Its called Ecosia, it is a search engine that is pretty much like the others, but the cool thing about this search engine is for every search attempt, you contribute in planting a tree which is awesome.

This web was made on December 2009 when the founder Christian Kroll went on a trip around the world and help him understand the problems of deforestation. Ecosia also won several awards on 2010-2011 for its clever concept and its speedy growth in Europe.

It works pretty easy you could just go to their web which is ecosia.org or you can download their web browser extension. To use the web you search and the ads that are generated while you search will pay for this company to plant trees in different areas around the world.

Their website says that the funds generated by Ecosia has helped them to plant an average of one tree every 1.1 second, now Ecosia has planted over 47 Million trees. When you perform your Ecosia search they will display a personalized tree counter for you, which will help you understand how many trees you have already helped to plant.  This counter does not intend to show you how many trees you have personally planted all on your own, but rather how many trees that you have financially contributed toward planting. They are also very transparent about their monthly financial reports and the tree planting receipts which you could also see on their web.
